Protective pipe nets of Meshiran (Rockshield)
The best protective for steel pipes for transporting oil, gas and water pipes which passes on cliff sand rocky areas, is rockshield. In this area, around the outer strip of pipe should be covered with a layer of Meshiran rockshields. In parts of the pipeline which are placed on explosive cliffs ground or pipe shave additional coverage with a layer of concrete, or in the case of application of cement weights,polyethylene meshsheets(rockshield) are applied for mechanical protection of main cover of the pipe.
Meshiran rockshields prevent passing of stones with putting soft soil around the pipe to prevent damage to the outer cover ofpipe and there for help cathodic protection of the pipe.
Advantages of Meshiran rockshields:
- high work pace and uniform concrete
- lower cost, compared with transportation of riddled soil and sand
- using of local soil around the pipe
- facilitating the cathodic protection of pipe
Rockshield can also be cut in sheets and pipe rolls based on pipe inches and presented with required fastener and straps.
