Applications:

1.Reinforcing floor concrete

Due to light weight of geogrid nets and their resistant against corrosive agents, these nets can be installed close to the surface in continuous operation form working.

This will streng then the concrete and control cracking.

Advantages of using geogridin concrete:

• reinforcing concrete
• requiring a minimum concrete cover
• more economic than other riforcing materials such as armature
• complete protection against all corrosive agents in water that erodes armature
• fast and easy installation

2.Application in water channels and tunnels

An economical method to construct water and sewage channels of concrete, is using a combination of geogrid and cements hot crete. Among the important features of these nets, chemical resistance against corrosive substances in water that can penetrate into the concrete, shows capability of nets in such cases.

Another important feature of these nets are extremely high tensile strength,their low weight and good flexibility which makes easy to work with. These nets have also been used int he primary stability of surface of tunnels in Tehran subway.
